EXPERIENCE        PRECISION        QUALITY

Cement bonded wood fiber manufacturers are not all the same. Nexcem is the original cement bonded wood fiber material and product. We incorporate the latest advances in manufacturing technology and have the most extensive knowledge base (75 + years) in cement bonded wood fiber technology.

Knowledge and Experience

All Nexcem manufacturing operations benefit from the research, testing and technological improvements developed together with our partners. We have been making ICFs continually for over 25 years with 75+ years of knowledge in cement bonded wood fiber technology

We have an experienced engineering staff and over six decades of North American experience with the material and products

Raw Materials

We only use clean softwood waste lumber. We ensure there is no potential for unhealthy contaminants in the wood source (pallets that may have held paints, lubricants, chemicals, etc.). Also since softwoods are less dense than hardwoods (pallets), Nexcem will typically be lighter and have better insulation properties than products made with post-consumer waste and/or hardwoods.

Product Range and Finish

We don’t sell “Multi-Function” blocks that require on-site alteration. Our commitment to the client is reflected in our extensive investment in production molds, that allow us to offer over 90 different product types.

Our state of the art machinery is constantly being upgraded and improved as we build on our 75 years of manufacturing experience. Our ICF blocks go through a complex series of milling steps that utilize 9 individual cutting heads and 2 surface planing heads, ensuring the highest degree of dimensional accuracy currently possible in the industry. Each block is completely notched and ready for installation the moment it arrives on site.

Precision and Automation

Although materials may look the same, the details can be very different. Proprietary mix designs and production parameters such as cement content and wood gradation can have a large impact on the final material strength, insulation properties and overall durability.

Our advanced automated processes utilize the latest PLC controls including the highest precision radar measuring systems that allow for instant feedback at the mixing stage. This ensures very precise moisture content calibration and consistent mixes every time.

Quality Control

Our investment in technology, automation and instantaneous data collection allows for a comprehensive Quality Management System and Control Plan that tracks each ICF block through every aspect of the production process.

Our ISO level Quality Control Plan ensures that each block meets our requirments for strength and density, ensuring performance in the field.
